Our History
LQ ARQUITECTURA was born from a working relationship 6 years ago between the architects Luis Quesada Salcedo and Anna Fernández Abelló, who were part of the previous studio in Ibiza, MIXISARQUITECTOS, of which Luis Quesada was a co-founding partner. From this platform they have practised their profession sharing their values of honesty and sensitivity for architecture. These values, together with many others, have brought them together to share a new stage with a multidisciplinary team of collaborators, which allows them to continue the development of our profession with the serenity and balance acquired in recent years, seeking a more sustainable architecture in accordance with the needs of their clients, with whom we develop an empathy that allows us to understand them.
Luis Quesada Salcedo, architect by the ETSAG in Granada, completing his training at the University of Seville and Florence. He moved to Ibiza in 2005-2006 and started working for a local studio. For 8 years he was part of the Visa Department of the College of Architects of Ibiza and Formentera, the last years as head of visa, combining the position with the independent development of the profession until he founded in 2010 the office of Architecture MIXISARQUITECTOS with David Calvo Cubero. In 2021 he started begins a new and exciting stage in collaboration with Anna Fernández Abelló within the LQARQUITECTURA platform.
Anna Fernández Abelló, architect by the ETSAV Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, completed her training at the University of Rome La Sapienza and with the UPC-Santander Iberoamerica Scholarship. Since 2012 she has been working between Barcelona and Ibiza. In 2016 he started collaborating with MIXISARQUITECTOS. She is currently in charge of the projects she shares with LQARQUITECTURA in Barcelona.
